Layered Stencilling
by Trina Pham

Hello everyone.  I don’t have my new Garden Party products yet, so I’m sharing another simple card made with more products from the Spring release.

My card was prompted by the Layered Stencilling theme over at CAS Stencil card challenge.  Started by die cutting a circle stencil from masking paper using Circle Basics die.  Adhered it to a Bristol panel and ink blended on Scattered Straw, Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserves distress inks (di) using blending brushes.

The Midnight Mandala stencil from Birch Press Designs was then layered over top and more of the same inks were applied over that stencil.  Removed the stencils and this is what resulted.

For some shimmer, the panel was spritz with a sparkle spray (couldn’t capture it in the photo, but it’s really pretty IRL).

Next, the Pretty Blossom Stem was die cut three times from Bristol paper and stacked for dimension.  The sentiment from Wild Rose Stem stamp set was black heat embossed directly on the panel.  Assembled the card onto a slightly textured A2 piece to finish.

That does it for me.  Thank you for dropping by.  Have a wonderful day!

The blended panel is a gorgeous backdrop for the pretty white flowers.

A fun technique with a beautiful result. Such a pretty card Trina x. Thank you for the step by steps too x.

Very pretty. Love the blended inks and layered stencil technique. Such pretty colors. TFS

Beautiful card Trina! I love your layered stenciling and the beautiful blend of colours. Gorgeous with the white die-cut and white framing. The black sentiment is a wonderful contrast.

Beautifully blended background using your stencil mask, Trina. Love how you stenciled over the colored circle and then added the pretty die cut flower stem. So pleased you joined us at CAS Stencil. Hugs..Nancy

This is so beautiful, Trina! Wonderful results of layering a stencil over the ink blended base (circle)! The color combo is pretty and the white blossom stem die-cut looks amazing with dimension! Love this card!
