Sketch Inspired
by Laura Fulcher

Greetings friends.  I don't know what you have been doing to stay creatively inspired during these trying times, but lately some friends and I have been crafting together using Zoom as well as participating in weekly challenges.  For my challenge, I proposed a sketch challenge.  There are lots of sites out there that provide wonderful sketch ideas and often have weekly/monthly challenges.  It is a great way to get the creative juices flowing.

I was inspired by this sketch from The Paper Players challenge blog:

Sketch

I decided to go quite literally with the design because when I did so, it encouraged me to separate the leaves from the sunflowers, which is something I would normally never do.  Sometimes it is a good idea to step "Outside the Box."

To make the card, I stamped and die cut my flowers/leaves using Neenah Classic Crest paper and black Memento ink.  Next, I colored them with various Copic markers:

Sunflower petals: Y04, Y13, Y17

Sunflower centers: Y21, Y28

Sunflower leaves: YG01, YG03, YG25

To finish the card, I added some of the new Memory Box patterned paper as well as some of the new glitter paper for bling.

How about you?  How are you staying connected to your crafting world?
