Hello everyone! Today I have a mixed media type of card for you.  I used washi tape to create the flowers and the leaves for the card and a piece of patterned paper for the vase. So let's begin.

The first thing I did was to adhere a piece of the Rose Bouquet wide washi tape to white cardstock. Next I picked the flowers and the leaves I wanted to use and cut them out.

Next I chose a piece of patterned paper that I wanted to use for the vase and die cut it from the rectangle die set.

I used a piece of the new watercolor paper for my background and laid out my design.

I made a light pencil line for my table and proceded to watercolor the background.  I wanted a very fluid look for the watercolor so I watered down my paint.

Once I was happy with the background I used matt medium to glue down my vase, leaves and flowers.

I used copic markers to add some shading to the flowers and leaves.  Next I used a fine black marker to outline the leaves and flowers to define them. Then I used a white marker to add a higlight to the vase.

Next I used a stencil and sponged Tumbled Glass Distress ink to add some interest to the table and the background. I used a light touch for this.  I only wanted a hint of color.

The next thing I did was spatter the background with several colors of paint and some gold ink. I might of got a little carried away with the spatters.

To finish the card I die cut the word Love from gold metallic cardstock and glued that to my card front.  I used foam tape to adhere this to a white cardbase.

I hope you enjoyed this card today!  Thanks so much for stopping by!
