Fairy Sugar with the Leafy Jumble Stencil Background by Anne Thompson

The challenge for the month of March is to use glitter paper or glitter glue in some way. Memory Box has lots of new Fairy Sugar glitter glues in the Spring 2020 collection. I decided to use one of the new stencils and some Fairy Sugar to create a background for a spring card along with some die cuts using the new glitter paper.

I started with a yellowy-green cardstock 4 X 5.25 which I taped to my work surface and then taped the LEAFY JUMBLE STENCIL 88613 down on top of that using more washi tape. I chose Sour Apple Sparkle 40121 and Mint Frost 40106 Fairy Sugars to use with the stencil.

I squirted some Fairy Sugar onto each of the leaf cutout areas.

I then used my finger to spread the Fairy Sugar onto each of the leaves.

I removed the stencil and set this panel aside to dry.

I used a bright green glitter paper from the TWINKLING JEWEL GLITTER PAD GP1003 and die cut the middle-sized rectangle from the STYLISH RECTANGLE TRIO 94416. I used more of that same paper to cut the PRETTY BLOSSOM STEM 94422. I had a small scrap of a light almost white glitter paper from another project and cut the Pretty Blossom Stem again. I snipped off those two blooms to adhere them over the green ones.

I assembled the card front using lots of Scor-Tape on the back of the stenciled panel as I put it onto a Meadow notecard. I added the Stylish Rectangle using a Glue Pen. I used Glue Dots on the back of the green blossoms and leaves to secure the Pretty Blossom Stem to the panel and on the back of the whitish blossoms that I popped on top of the green ones.

I added Lemon Drop Fairy Sugar 40116 in the flower centers and used my finger to spread it over the blossoms. Then I used a drop of Goldfinch Fairy Sugar 40118 for each blossom center.

This card really sparkles and shines.
