Peace on Earth
by Laura Fulcher

Greetings friends.  It has been quite a while since I have played with my watercolor pencils, so I thought it was about time to reacquaint myself with them.

To make the card, I started by stamping my mistletoe image at the top of white cardstock using black Versafine ink.  I then turned the stamp upside down and stamped it again at the bottom of the card.  I thought the two sprigs of mistletoe made a nice frame for my sentiment in the middle.

To color the mistletoe, I used my Inktense watercolor pencils to color the leaves and berries and then softened everything with a Dove Blender pen.  You could use a paintbrush and water, but I think you have a bit more control with the blender pen because it isn't quite as wet as the brush.  Here is a close up of the coloring to get a better look:

To finish the card, I used the peace die cut and the "on Earth" sentiment before edging the card with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink.

Have a great weekend!

Awesome, thank you for inspiring me to use the much neglected Inktense pencils myself!

Very pretty card!

Gorgeous, love the way you used it to frame the sentiment, lovely coloring!

Just delightful!! Love so much the beautiful stamp and your water-colouring looks awesome!
