"HAPPY" Holly Jolly Corner Frame Patterned Papers Card
by Anne Thompson

I decided to make a simple card using several of the new patterned papers, the HAPPY PUZZLE LETTERS 94348, and the HOLLY JOLLY CORNER FRAME 94310.  This will be a great card to reproduce in multiples that also is appropriate for multiple celebrations--Hanukkah, Christmas, and the New Year.

  • I started with a piece of white on white dotted paper from the DASHING STRIPES AND DOTS collection PP1002.  I cut one piece 5.25 X 4 to use as the background for the card.
  • I cut the HOLLY JOLLY CORNER FRAME from the green/white snowflake paper in the DASHING HOLIDAY papers PP1001.
  • I used the green plaid, also from the DASHING HOLIDAYS papers, to cut out the HAPPY PUZZLE LETTERS.

  • In this next photo you can see how the letters cut out and how easy it is to put them together.
  • I adhered them to a scrap of the white dotted white paper, trimmed that down, and added it to a scrap of the green plaid.

  • I glued the Holly Jolly Corner Frame to the upper left corner of the white dotted paper.
  • I added the HAPPY piece next, tucking it under the holly sprigs.

  • The final step was to place all of this on top of a Juniper notecard and add some white pearls to the berries.  Done!

I think this simple design will also work well with other paper combinations from the two paper collections.  And maybe it will give you an idea that will get you to enter our November monthly Challenge--Patterned Paper.

Happy Crafting!

Nice card. I hadn't realised that was how the letters went together. Good to have some inspiration for the challenge.

Such a twist to the merry Christmas theme! I love the colors, the uniqueness, the HAPPY vibe this card gives! Well done Memory Box & Anne!
