Christmas Stocking
by Donna Sledzik

Good morning and welcome to Day 6 of the Holiday Blog Blitz!  There are so many exciting products in this holiday release, including paper and washi tape!

For my post today I used the Scalloped Stocking die and made a cute place setting project.  You could also use this as a gift card holder or an ornament for your tree.

I die cut the stocking from patterned paper from the new 6" x 6" paper pad. I also cut another stocking from red cardstock.  I die cut the stocking toe and cuff from white felt.

Next, I sewed the stocking pieces together and embellished the stocking with more new die cuts (see below).

The Snowman Background and the Antique Pine Label were die cut from white cardstock and the Scribble Snowman Outline and the word Joy were cut from black cardstock.  The pine branches were cut off the label and inked with Mowed Lawn and Peeled Paint distress inks.

I glued the snowman outline to the snowman background then added ribbon around his neck for a scarf.  I glued the snowman to the front of the stocking and added a nose, eyes and buttons to him. The eyes and buttons are black Nuvo Dots and the nose was cut from orange cardstock.

I glued the pine branches to the stocking cuff and finished it off with red buttons.  I glued the word Joy to the front of the snowman.

That's it for today's project!
