Because I make a few Halloween cards and a lot of fall ones, I made this card that features the WINTER TREE OVAL FRAME 94309 as a fall scene/Halloween card.
To make this card, I began with a black notecard and adhered a piece of Halloween decorative paper cut 4 X 5.25. (Remember this Memory Box paper from years ago? I'm finally parting with more papers in my stash.)
Next I die cut the WINTER TREE OVAL FRAME 94309 twice, once from black cardstock and once from gold.
I used a glue pen to secure the large oval to the front of the notecard, leaving some of the bats outside the frame.
I used a tape runner to add the black tree/hill oval inside the larger oval frame.
I carefully removed the gold background pieces from that die cut and used glue to place them up against the black tree.
I chose the word "autumn" from the GRATEFUL AUTUMN CLEAR STAMPS SET CL5243 and stamped it in VersaFine Clair Nocturne (black) ink on a scrap of the Halloween paper. I taped that to a scrap of black cardstock, and adhered the panel to the lower right on the card front.
I added more printed papers to the inside of the notecard.
And...I even papered the inside of the envelope! I just traced around the envelope from the flap down on a piece of Halloween 6 X 6 paper, trimmed the sides just a wee bit smaller, added double-sided tape over the glue line on the flap, and snugged the paper in.
I'm thinking of so many ways to change the background behind the tree for fall and winter. I think you will find that you have lots of ideas for using this die!
Happy Crafting!
