Thank You Card
by Donna Sledzik

Hello everyone and welcome to day two of the Blog Blitz!

For my card today I decided to go with the new Antique Corner Rose Label craft die and a fun alcohol ink background.

I love creating backgrounds to use for future projects. For this card I used a leftover paper towel to make the background. I put the piece of paper towel under my glossy paper when I was using alcohol inks. There was still plenty of ink in the paper towel and I reactivated the ink by squirting blending solution over it. Then I pressed a piece of glossy paper on top of the paper towel and lifted it to reveal my background. I created about 5 backgrounds from that one paper towel. As the paper towel gets drier you can pick up the texture of the paper towel better.

Look at all these fun backgrounds!  It pays not to throw anything away!

I die cut the Rose Label twice from watercolor paper and painted one of the die cuts using Distress Inks.  I put a piece of tape behind the die cuts to keep them in place.

Once the painted die cut was dry I glued it onto my background. I stamped the sentiment onto the label of the die cut and glued that in place on the die cut.  I used only the outline from the second die cut and glued that in place on top of the first die cut.

To finish the card I added a few green Nuvo Drops to the card front.

Thanks for stopping by today!
