Good morning everyone,
Today I have a card for you which features dry embossing with a die. Instead of cutting the paper, you emboss it with the die.
I used this technique for the background behind the Wildflower Circle. I used the embossing sandwich for my die cutting machine so that the die would not cut through the paper but emboss it instead. (All die cutting machines have their own instructions for embossing)
I masked off half of the circle with post-it-notes and sponged distress inks over the embossed circle. Next I masked off the part I just inked and applied ink over the bottom portion.
I die cut the Wildflower Circle in the center of my card front. I glued the inked background behind the die cut circle and then glued my flower circle back in place on top of the background. I die cut a second Wildflower Circle and cut away the flowers and used only the frame portion of the die cut. I inked that with Distress Ink and glued it in place.
I die cut the word "wishing" from white cardstock and the shadow portion of the die from black cardstock and glued that to my card front.
Next I stamped my sentiment on a strip of white cardstock and used foam tape to adhere that to my card.
To finish I added some epoxy dots to the flower centers and that's it!
Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day!
