Hi friends! Today I have a fun take on a shaker card using one of my favorite dies from the Spring release, the Underwater Scene die.
To switch things up on this card I cut out a circle on the front of my card that was a little bit bigger than the Underwater Scene die and then I glued my shaker to the inside of the card. Such a fun change!
I die cut everything in white and then colored the background circle in a deep teal color with a blending brush and some ink. I sprayed it with a mist of water to create some droplets of lighter color. This can be done with most dye inks.
I built the shaker by gluing the Underwater Scene to a piece of acetate. Then I added two layers of foam tape around the edge of the frame and then put in some sequins. I sealed it up with the teal circle and then glued it to the inside of the card.
The birthday fishes sentiment from the Oceanside Typewriter Sentiments set finishes it off!
Thanks for stopping by the blog, have a wonderful day!
