Good morning everyone,
Today I have a card for you which features another way to use your dies. I've done cards in the past where I used this technique for smaller die elements, but today I am using a frame die to create a stamp.
Let's make this card...
Using fun foam, I die cut the outside frame from the Wonderful Whale Frame Die.
I applied removable adhesive to the back of the foam die cut and placed it on an acrylic block. Next I inked my stamp with Blueprint Distress Oxide Ink and stamped it onto a piece of white cardstock.
Next I die cut the Sailboat frame from white cardstock, and used only the center portion and the circle frame from the die cut.
I inked the circle frame portion of the die cut, the boat, and edges of the sails with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. The waves and the clouds were sponged with Blueprint Sketch ink.
I sponged Barn Red Distress ink onto a strip of white cardstock and heat embossed the saying with white embossing powder. I also cut a little flag from a scrap of the red inked paper.
I glued the circle frame in the middle of the stamped frame and adhered all the other die cut elements within the frame.
Next I trimmed the card front to a 4 1/4" square and adhered it to a 5" square white cardbase.
Have a great week and thanks for stopping by!
