You Got This with Embossed and Stenciled Bright Hearts by Jean Okimoto

Here's an idea for our February Pink and Red Challenge - embossed and stenciled  Bright Hearts in yummy shades of Angel Pink, Love Letter and Electric Pink.  Add a greeting from Best Life Typewriter Sentiments and a strip stamped to resemble washi tape.

Hi - Jean Okimoto here with some challenge inspiration and an easy way to multi-color an embossed design.

Cut watercolor paper with the 3-¼" Circle Basics die.  Pressure-emboss the circle with Bright Hearts -  use the embossing mat and plates required for your machine.  I've used the platform, die (face-up), watercolor paper (face-down), rubber embossing mat and the purple embossing plate on my Platinum.

Cut three Bright Hearts paper stencils.  Daub the two larger embossed hearts with Angel Pink Memento Luxe. Use a cotton swab for the two smaller hearts. Heat-set the ink.

Ink the other hearts with Electric Pink Radiant Neon and Love Letter Memento Luxe - use Post-it Notes between the colors to prevent smudges.  Heat-emboss everything with detail clear powder.  Although the Angel Pink ink was heat-set it attracted some embossing powder too.

Use well-inked stamp pads for this technique - you don't want to spend all weekend daubing hearts.   The vibrant inks from Imagine Crafts are perfect!

Stamp the stripes - from the Bold Christmas Greetings Clear Stamps Set - on gray cardstock with Nocturne VersaFine Clair and dry the ink.   Trim it to ⅜" x 4-½".

Cut a ⅜" x 3-¾" strip of pink cardstock.  Cut a ⅜" x 3-¼" strip of charcoal glittered cardstock.

Prep dark gray cardstock with anti-static powder and stamp the greeting  - from Best Life Typewriter Sentiments - with VersaMark.  Emboss it with detail white powder.

Attach everything to a light gray 5-¼" square card - use foam dots for the greeting.  Add silver gem stickers.

Many of the designs from our Valentine's 2019 Collection are perfect for pressure-embossing and stenciling...it's hard to decide which one to use next.  Have fun with this technique!

Thanks for visiting...
