Showering Love by Trina Pham
Hello everyone! Trina here and with Valentine’s only 10 days away, I am sharing another Valentine’s card made with products from the recent 2019 Valentine’s Release. No surprise, my card is inspired by several challenges, in particular this month’s Memory Box color challenge of Pink and Red. Here is my card.
Started by black heat embossing the sentiment from Wishing You the Best stamp set with clear glitter embossing powder on a white A2 sized panel trimmed from Whisper White cardstock. Die cut the heart frame from Neghborhood Heart Frame die three times - twice from Bristol paper and once from black cardstock. Mounted the two white ones together and offset the black piece for a shadow effect. Adhered the frame below the sentiment.
Took one of the heart cutouts and blended on Rubellite and Pink Diamond dye inks with a mini blending tool. A DIY heart stencil was created next with the Heart Sprinkles die and acetate. Real Red dye ink was then applied with a sponge dauber through the stencil. Cupid from Cupid with Swing die was die cut from Bristol paper and adhered to make him look like he’s sprinkling the hearts. The heart was inlaid back into the stacked heart frame. Highlights were added to the hearts with a white gel pen to finish.
Pink and red is the color challenge this month, and you have until February 27th to play along. Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

This is a delightful Valentine. The framing heart gives a sweet, vintage look to the design. tfs

Gorgeous design Trina. Love how the offset of your beautiful heart die and frame with a little black showing, really adds so much depth. The pink and red are so pretty together. Great idea to create a stencil from your small hearts die.

I love how you've used this die, Trina, and how you've filled it with the little hearts! Your shades of pink and red blend perfectly!

What a wonderful Valentine and what great use of red and pink! Love the way the little cupid is scattering the tiny hearts inside the bigger heart!

The card itself is so pretty with pink and red, but I'm amazed how you used your dies, Trina! You ARE fantastic at stretching your supplies and coming up with creative uses of them. I thought you used a cupid die and a hearts stamp, but you trimmed off the swing and used the heart die as a stencil. The cupid does look like he's sprinkling little hearts. The white gel pen highlights and the black shadow (the bottom layer) are a really nice touch!
