The new Neighborhood Heart Frame is ready for Valentine's Day...are you?  Each holiday flies by too quickly - then it's time to start prepping for another special day!  Hello and Happy New Year - Jean Okimoto here with my January Challenge inspiration card.

Cut the heart and fence from watercolor paper.  Cut the balloon hearts from red glittered cardstock.  Trim the bottom from one heart.  Attach pieces of silver cord behind two hearts.

It's not rocket-science - but here's an easy way to get the dimension of a double-layered bicycle without gluing two delicate layers together.  Just squeegee craft glue onto medium-weight black cardstock - keep the glue about ⅓" from the edges.  Press another layer of cardstock on it.  Place the glued layers between two layers of printer paper and run it through a diecut machine to spread the glue evenly.

Cut it with the delicate bicycle die - I ran mine through my Platinum four times for a complete cut through the double layers.  Gluing the layers makes it easier to cut - double-stick tape would have added another layer to cut through.

Prep a scrap of black cardstock with the embossing powder tool.  Stamp the greeting - from the new Best Life Typewriter Sentiments Clear Stamp Set - with VersaMark.  Emboss it with detail white powder.

Cut Kraft cardstock with the 4-⅜" x 3-⅜" Pinpoint Rectangle Layers die.  Attach the pieces to the rectangle - use foam dots for the heart balloons.

Attach the rectangle to a side-folded red A-2 card.

If you're not quite ready to start on Valentine cards...Neighborhood Heart Frame is great for post-holiday thank-yous and thinking-of-you cards too.  Just switch the colors to fuchsia or peachy-pink and select another greeting from the Best Life Typewriter Sentiments set for an entirely different look.  It's also great for engagement, wedding, anniversary and baby announcements!

Here's a preview of my new Impress classes.  I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again!  The classes are 2 hours - and I do all of the prep work (and diecutting!) for you.  Each class features a variety of techniques, great colors and beautiful artpapers.  Classes are fun, casual, relaxing - and we laugh a lot!  Please call the Tukwila store (206 901.9101) to reserve your seat.
