Winter Scene by Melissa Rusk
The winter skies have been mostly gray around my house so I decided I needed a card to brighten up winter just a bit. I pulled out my alcohol inks and gave them a try. I am just starting to use them but they are already so much fun.
For the background I took three colors in blues and teals and played around with the alcohol inks on Yupo paper. Once it was dry I took the alcohol resist ink pad and stamped the Typewriter Holiday Elements background stamp on the alcohol ink background I created. I love how it turned out! I will be using this technique in the future for sure.
To finish the card I die cut the Delicate Pine Frame in white and then colored it with the Clear Wink of Stella glitter brush pen to make it sparkle. I also added some glitter to the tree to add to the winter sparkle.
Thanks for stopping by the blog and I hope you have a wonderful holiday week!
