Greetings friends. To those of you who celebrate it, have a very Merry Christmas! Today I am sharing a card that could be used for Christmas as well as a winter birthday. I must confess that when I made the card, I didn't realize that the snowflake window die had been discontinued. However, I think you will find that cutting a window and using the Delicate Stitched Snowflakes die will work just as well. There is acetate behind the window, so the snowflakes glue easily on top.
To color the penguin and presents, I used an assortment of Copic markers. Here is how I colored each of the areas:
- C00- edges of the inside of penguin belly….add a bit of C1 to the very edge. You want to add a bit of grey shading so that it won't be stark white.
- C5- outside edges of penguin
- C7- add a bit of shading to the outside edges of the penguin (under pits, at the base)
- R11- penguin cheeks
- Y38- penguin beak and feet
- G19, R35, G14- presents…optional…add a bit of C1 to outside edges of presents for shading
Merry Christmas! I wish you all much peace and happiness.
