Greetings friends. In case you didn't realize it, Memory Box has released some new dies and stamps. You can view the whole collection here.
For my card today, I built my own background using stamps from the Equal Triangle clear set and a Kaleidacolor rainbow pad called Creole Spice and then layered the new Cool Cat on top. I haven't added a sentiment yet because I haven't decided if I am going to make a Halloween card or save it to make a Fall birthday card. I like to have options in my card stash.
To make the card, I cut out my Scallop Stitch Fancy Frame and Cool Cat out of black cardstock. I saved the rectangle piece that was left when I cut the frame to use as a guide for masking.
Here you can see that I put the black rectangle (ignore the cat) onto my white cardstock as a guide of where to place my low-tac masking tape. I decided to use a mask because my frame is so narrow and I didn't want my triangles/diamonds to stamp further out than the frame.
Next, I pulled out a ton of diamonds and triangles from my stamp set and placed them on my stamp positioner to stamp onto my my card using Fall colored rainbow ink. You can use the shapes to make a decorative border or design, but I thought it would be fun to put them all together to create a graphic background. When I removed the mask, this is what was left:
To finish my card, I glued down the frame around the triangles and popped up my cat with some foam tape:
Hope you love the new kitty die as much as I do. I know I will be using him a lot!

I am seeing a retro-vibe in this cute and interesting design! 😸
