Let's diecut bright tapes with the Wrapped Stitch Rectangles and Stitched Square Layers for a quick and easy thank you card. Add Thanks Jotted Script and top it off with glossy Honeycomb Square accents. Hi, Jean Okimoto here with the simple directions for my September Tape Too Challenge inspiration card.
Cover a 6" square of white cardstock with washi tape and pink Scotch Expressions Magic Tape. Cut it into triangles and random shapes using the edges of the Wrapped Stitch Rectangles and Stitched Square Layers dies.
Cut Thanks Jotted Script from bright pink and dark gray cardstock.
Attach orange Scotch 3M duct tape to a scrap of lightweight cardstock and cut it with Honeycomb Square. You may need to run it through the machine two or three times - it's serious, heavy-duty tape!
Attach the diecuts to a 5-¼" square white card.
Have fun making a few more cards with the extra pieces and hexagons. Diecutting washi taped cardstock is a quick and easy way to create great design elements for cards and tags. Geometric shapes, butterflies, simple flowers, leaves, houses, balloons - anything goes!
Big thanks to everyone who joined us for last weekend's second SIMPLY ASIAN class at Impress. Hope you liked the Memory Box, Poppystamps and Birch Press Designs diecuts we transformed into Asian-inspired icons and design elements. Special thanks to Jenny for her trio of great popcorns and to Robin for her special Chai-spiced dessert bars. Thanks too - Ann and Erin - for helping everyone find the stamps, dies and papers we needed for our cards.
There's a new holiday class on Sunday September 23rd. It's COLORS OF CHRISTMAS - with holiday cards in traditional reds and greens, jewel tones and winter pastels. Lots of techniques, beautiful artpapers and genuine Memory Box, Poppystamps and Birch Press Designs dies and stamps personally designed by Dave Brethauer and proudly made in the USA.
Thanks for stopping by!
