Pine Wreath and Tiny Ornament Triplets by Jean Okimoto

A deconstructed Pine Wreath quickly becomes a holiday garland with the Tiny Ornament Triplet cut from shiny duct tape. The theme of our September Tape Too Challenge reminded me about my stash of colored duct tape. Diecutting duct tape creates bright accent pieces with a glossy, textured finish. Here's how the Tiny Ornament Triplet is meant to be used - to create multi-colored layered designs.

Today's card uses the cute little ornament offcuts in bright shades of red, dark pink and chartreuse duct tape. Contractors probably wouldn't pick these colors for duct work and repairs - but they are so pretty for papercrafts!

Attach duct tape to medium- or light-weight cardstock and cut Tiny Ornament Triplets. I cut each of them from the three colors so I could mix and match them while deciding which pieces to use on my card. That's easier - and faster - than guessing!

Cut Pine Wreath from green cardstock - cut at least two sets so you can mix and match them to form a garland for your card.

Attach them to a 6-¼" x 3-⅜" white card. These cards fit into those envelopes we mailed checks in many years ago.

Stamp the greeting - from the Typewriter Holiday Sentiments Clear Stamps Set - on white cardstock with Glamorous VersaFine Clair. Quickly emboss it with detail clear powder. Cut it with the ¾" x 2" Rectangle Basics die. Cut an extra rectangle to layer behind it for dimension.

Add dark pink gem stickers.

We've used two classic die sets in unintended ways here...getting a little more from our stash of Memory Box dies. Try adding a second layer of branches in a slightly different shade of green - or using mirror or glitter cardstock for the ornaments. Or make a wreath!
