Five bright Sunburst Stripe Circle offcuts create a contemporary holiday scene - and some inspiration for September's Tape Too Challenge. Crisp white Crystal Snowflakes and a Wrapped Stitch Rectangle balance the brightness and add the finishing touch.
Hi everyone, Jean Okimoto here - let's see what we can do with some very bright Scotch Expressions Tape offcuts. I love triangles, unexpected color combos and making the most of my Memory Box stash.
Attach Scotch washi tape and colored Magic Tape to a scrap of waterolor paper. (The green tape looks yellow-er attached to the paper.) Cut the taped cardstock crosswise into ⅞" strips. Cut the strips with the Sunburst Stripe Circle. The strips are much longer than the die's triangles so you can pick the perfect combination of colors for your "trees."
I made several sets of taped strips so I'd have extras for other projects.
Cut the 4-¾" x 3-½" Wrapped Stitch Rectangle from white cardstock. Stamp the greeting - from the Penguin Cheer Clear Stamp Set - with Verdant VersaFine Clair.
Cut the smaller Crystal Snowflake from white cardstock, and again from light gray cardstock. Cut another snowflake center from white and gray cardstock. Layer the snowflakes - slightly offset - for dimension.
Attach the diecuts to a side-folded white A-2 card.
Looking for even more ways to use Sunburst Stripe Circle offcuts? Party hats, ice cream cones, pennants, the top of witch hats, unicorns, tiny rolled paper beads are just a few ideas to start with.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at another SIMPLY ASIAN class at Impress on September 15th. We'll start with a simple origami butterfly card, then make more cards with many of our favorite dies from Memory Box, Poppystamps and Birch Press Designs.
Thanks for stopping by...

Very festive and pretty with the washi colors you chose.
And the glitter really glams it up. Love it!

Miss your classes! Another great idea with a die that we wouldn't think to use to make Christmas trees. Love the washi tape and glitter! Again, so out-ot-the-box!
