It's Day 4 of our 2018 Holiday Blog Blitz - keep cool with the new Crystal Snowflakes and Snowy Circle! Hope you're enjoying our blitz - and commenting on each designer's post for a chance to win a great prize from our latest collection. Hello, Jean Okimoto here mixing some old favorites with some soon-to-be new favorites. Love how the old and new work together so well!
Cut Snowy Circle from light aqua cardstock. Attach Scor-Tape to white cardstock and cut it with the 3" Circle Basics die. Attach the 3" circle behind the Snowy Circle. Brush iridescent glitter onto the adhesive exposed in the Snowy Circle, and the little area below it.
Attach more Scor-Tape to white cardstock and cut Crystal Snowflakes. Remove the tape liner and brush the exposed adhesive with glitter. Remove the inner portion of the smaller snowflake.
Cut Happy Penguin from white cardstock - and again from black cardstock. Attach a scrap of orange cardstock behind his beak. Attach the black penguin behind the white penguin to create a narrow layer of black to outline the bottom of the white penguin.
Cut the top/side section from black cardstock.
Cut the ribbon end - from the Curled Ribbons die - from red velvet paper, or red velvet ribbon attached to a scrap of a sticker sheet of label paper.
Stamp the greeting - from the new Typewriter Holiday Sentiments set - on white cardstock with VersaFine Clair Tulip Red. Quickly emboss it with detail clear powder. Cut the cooled cardstock with the smallest Rectangle Basics Die. Cut another rectangle and layer it behind the greeting for dimension and to make it look a bit like a raised label.
Attach the diecuts to a Bayou Notecard - use foam dots for the penguin.

Special thanks to everyone from the PARTY ANIMALS and MEMORY BOX 2018 HOLIDAYS class at Impress last weekend! Lots of layering, laughter, diecuts and glitter! Thanks to Jan for the sweet holiday chocolate treats - and to Jenny for those crispy lemon cookies. Thanks too - Shari and Erin - for once again helping everyone fill their shopping baskets to the brim.
We're having our first BIRCH PRESS DESIGN class and trunk show at Impress on August 18th. Make 3 holiday cards and 3 any-occasion cards with the latest and greatest dies and stamps from Birch Press, a Memory Box company owned by Dave and Monica Brethauer.
Thanks for joining our Blog Blitz - good luck in the drawings!
Supplies
The Snowy Circle die makes a cute background for the penguin. I think it could also be used to look like confetti for a non-winter background.
