Christmas in July
by Donna Sledzik

Good morning everyone!

I know it's hard to think of the holidays when the summer heat is on, but (believe it or not) it's only 153 days until Christmas!

To make this card, I used the Wave Ribbon Collage Frame die to create snowbanks instead of waves for my card front.  I just cut away a few wave lines and glued a few wave die cut pieces to create the snowbanks on the bottom.

Next, I cut a background piece of paper the same size as the frame, sponged Broken China Distress Ink onto the paper, and glued the wave die cut onto the sponged paper. I used a white pen to add some snow dots to the background.

I adhered the finished background to a red cardstock mat and glued that to a white cardstock layer.  I die cut a scalloped stitch frame from white cardstock, glued that to a red cardstock layer, and adhered it to a white card base.

I stamped, colored, and die cut the snowman, glued it to the front of the card, and used texture paste underneath the snowman for snow.

To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment, glued a pom pom to the snowman's hat, and added some snowflakes to the card front.

I know we're still a long way off from winter, but I hope I've inspired you to get a jump start on your Christmas cards! Like all of you, I'm looking forward to using the new release that's just come out; you can expect to see some of the new products in my next post.

Have a great day!

I love this little winter scene!
