Ombre Butterfly
by Penny Ward

Hello, hello. Penny here today with a die cut I used as a stencil. Most die cuts can be used as intended or turned into a stencil for other effects like inking, modeling paste and more.

Now that's a win-win!

Here we go:

Start with a White cardstock base measuring 4.25 x 5.50 inches.

Cut a piece of White cardstock just a bit smaller than the base. Die cut Honeycomb Square two times from a scrap of cardstock. Position as desired and ink with Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade and Spiced Marmalade. Flick some water across panel and blot with paper towel. Adhere to card front.

Die cut Drifting Side Butterfly (I mean really...this is my all time favorite butterfly die). Blend same inks creating an ombre effect. Adhere to card front.

Stamp and heat emboss sentiment from the Sentimental Iris set on to Black cardstock. Notch end and adhere to card front with a tiny staple.

Happy Crafting,
