Left Hutton Gate, Dazzling Dragonfly and Little Dragonflies by Jean Okimoto

Looking for another simple summer design? The Left Hutton Gate creates a great frame for a gold Dazzling Dragonfly. It's both bold and delicate, like the dragonfly. Add a pair of Little Dragonflies as accents to balance the composition, and your card is done! Hi, Jean Okimoto here with a quick card that will be ready for any occasion.

Scrunch a sheet of waxed paper and rub it briskly over the Left Hutton Gate to help release the little pieces. Cut Left Hutton Gate from black cardstock.

Cut red cardstock with the 2-¼" Circle Basics die.

Attach Scor-Tape behind gold mirror cardstock and cut Dazzling Dragonfly.

Attach Scor-Tape behind black cardstock and cut Little Dragonflies.

Attach the diecuts to an A-6 (4-½" x 6-¼") card of recycled kraft cardstock. Add tiny black sequins.

The Left and Right Hutton Gates are a versatile backdrop for any season - and they're especially great for summer cards. They complement Memory Box butterflies, birds and flowers too - and can be used separately, or in pairs. Planning ahead? The Huttons could also add a spooky touch to a Halloween card - imagine a little ghost peering through the semicircle.
