The new Butterfly Parade - layered and glittered - is too beautiful to save for a summer card. It's delicate and detailed - and a perfect fit for a die from the Butterfly Ensemble set. Add the center section from the Morning Garden Butterflies set and you have a card for any occasion. Hi, Jean Okimoto here with another March Green Challenge inspiration card today.
Cut Butterfly Parade from white cardstock. Attach Scor-Tape to white cardstock and cut three of the matching butterfly from the Butterfly Ensemble die set. Attach the butterflies - slightly offset and adhesive-side-up behind the Butterfly Parade.
Brush glitter onto the remaining exposed adhesive on the butterflies. I've used Sugar Plum, Sour Apple and Wintermint from the Martha Stewart Crafts Iridescent set.
Attach the diecut to a 1-¼" x 4-¾" strip of textured pale green cardstock.
Cut the butterfly centers from the Morning Garden Butterflies die set from gold glittered cardstock and attach them.
Stamp the greeting - from the Sentimental Iris Clear Stamp Set - on a green A-6 card with VersaFine Clair Green Oasis.
Attach the diecuts to the card. Add purple gem stickers.
Butterfly Parade would be beautiful layered over one of your watercolored backgrounds. Or dry-emboss it for a elegant, textured tonal look...and a super-quick card when you need something in a hurry. Add it to your special collection of Memory Box butterflies and it'll soon become a favorite go-to design.
Thanks for visiting. See you next week - or at Impress for the SPRINGTIME GREETINGS class on Saturday!
