Hi friends! It is feeling like winter again this week so I decided to think Spring for my card today. It has to come some time right?!
The Devonshire Wreath die is beautiful. To show it off on my card today I simply cut it out in white card stock. I layered some bright colors for the background of my card and then placed the wreath on a woodgrain looking paper that I created.
I took a white piece of cardstock and scored it at every 1/4 inch. Then I took a light gray ink pad and wiped it over the paper, dragging it from top to bottom and not pressing too hard. The score lines stay white and then you end up with a wood grain effect. To lighten up the paper I then took a white ink pad and wiped it over top. It ended up looking like a weathered wood. So fun!
To finish it off I added some pearls to the center of the flowers. I hope you can make a little bit of Spring for yourself today!
