Hello Friends! Today I pulled out some of my Zig Clean Color brush pens out and did a little watercoloring. Let's make a card!
First, I die cut the Marvelous Hummingbird out of watercolor paper. I cut a few to work on at the same time since each one turns out a little bit different. To color with these markers I took the marker directly to the paper in a small area and then came in with a water brush to blend the color out. I repeated this with each color I added, making sure to allow a little time to dry in between layers of color.
I kept adding and blending until I got it to how I wanted it. Be careful with the thinner lines like the wings and the tail, adding too much marker and water will tear them.
To create the card I glued a piece of white that I stamped with a sentiment from the Bird Sanctuary set and I cut with one of the Wrapped Stitch Rectangle dies and glued it to a Key Lime note card that matched my hummingbird. I finished it all of with a black gem for the eye and some green gems for some sparkle.
Thanks for stopping by the blog today! I hope you get a chance to make something fun!
