I have a Sweet Bunny card for you today that I will use for Easter.
prep work to make this card:
- Select a Powder notecard--This pale blue is the perfect background.
- Choose a white paper circle doily.
- Using WRAPPED CIRCLES 30114, die cut a circle larger than the doily from Key Lime Distressed Dots paper and one the same size as the solid center of the doily from a scrap of Powder notecard.
- Die cut two of the GRASS STITCHED CIRCLE FRAME 99924 from more of the Key Lime Distressed Dots paper.
- Die cut the QUICK BUNNIES 99902 from white cardstock and glue on their little circle tails.
- Die cut SWEET BUNNY 99905 from white cardstock. Glue a scrap of pink cardstock behind the nose opening and a tiny strip of black cardstock over that and behind the eye openings.
to assemble the card:
- Glue the largest dot paper circle on the front of the notecard.
- Glue the doily on top of that dot paper circle.
- Add the powder circle to the center of the doily.
- Secure one of the Grass Stitched Circle Frames on top of the powder circle.
- Add the second Grass Stitched Circle Frame on top of the first one, setting it a bit askew so that more grass stems show.
- Tuck in the little Quick Bunnies among the grass stems.
- Pop dot the Sweet Bunny on the lower left edge of the doily/circle.
- Tie a bow from some green dotted ribbon and glue it to the top right corner of the doily.
I left room at the bottom front of the notecard to add a handwritten or stamped sentiment later.
And on the inside:
I added another piece of the dot paper cut 4 X 5 1/4. On top of that I placed a piece of powder notecard scrap cut 3 X 4 1/4. I added two of the Quick Bunnies, the small one in the upper left and the larger one in the lower right. Now I have plenty of room to write a message and elements from the card front are carried over to the inside which is something that I like to do.
Happy Crafting!
