A background of Wrapped Stitch Hearts creates a twirly setting for the Happy Penguin on a simple card today.  Add a brightly bold greeting from the Smile Clear Stamp Set - and a swirly circle print background - and it's a quick card for your favorite guy.  Hello, Jean Okimoto here, the big day is just two weeks away - quick and easy is the way to go!

Layer a set of red Wrapped Stitch Hearts onto a 2-¼" x 3-½"  Rectangle Basics block of silver and black printed paper.

Cut Happy Penguin from watercolor paper and again from black cardstock.  Color two eye dots on a scrap of orange cardstock with a black marker and attach it behind the white penguin.  Attach the additional black penguin behind the white, slightly lower for dimension.

Attach black duct tape to a scrap of cardstock and diecut a glossy contrasting overlay for the head and flippers.

Stamp the greeting -  from the Smile Clear Stamp Set  - on turquoise cardstock with Onyx Black VersaFine and dry the ink.  Trim it with the ¾" x 2" Rectangle Basics die.

Attach everything to a white  A6 (4-⅝" x 6-¼") card.  Cut a bunch of red glittered hearts with the Dibble Heart Border die.  Attach one of the little hearts to the penguin.  Add black sequins.

Need a more gal-ish design?  Just diecut some fuchsia, pink or peach Wrapped Stitch Hearts and add a garden print instead.  Finish it off with pastel or glittery gem stickers.

Special thanks to everyone who stopped by to make a Heart Gift Box at my Impress make and take last Saturday!  Big thanks to everyone who joined us for the Love Is Sweet Valentine cards class too - and to Ann, Erin and Laura for finding those great dies and papers for all of our projects.  See you again at the CAKES, CANDLES + BIRTHDAY WISHES class on February 10!

Thanks for visiting - see you again on Thursday too...
