Happy New Year! Here's a preview of our latest release...introducing the new Heart Rays and Have a Heart dies. The Spring 2018 Release of dies and clear stamp sets starts shipping this week and the Design Team is busy creating Valentine projects to share with you.
Hello - Jean Okimoto here - let's start with two classic heart designs that will never go out of style. Here they are - with a happy bird from the Feathered Friends Deep Edge dies.
Cut the heart from natural and red cardstock. Cut the natural heart again with a portion of the Heart Rays die. Layer them - slightly offset - and attach them to a side-folded A-2 card of textured natural cardstock.
Cut the Feathered Friends bird from sage cardstock and printed paper. Attach the printed portion to an extra layer of sage cardstock for more dimension.
Cut the wing from gold glittered cardstock.
The beak, eye and rosy cheek are on one die. Cut them from watercolor paper. Color them with markers.
Assemble the bird and attach it to the card - angle it so it looks like he's whistling a lovesong. (I hope!) Use foam dots on the tail section.
Add gold gem stickers.
The 5-piece Have a Heart set ranges from 4.5" to 1.7" tall - perfect for all of your projects. You'll love them for heart-shaped cards and tags for weddings, anniversaries, birthday and baby cards throughout the year.
The Heart Rays die is designed to cut cool little stitches across the width of an A-2 card - and seven hearts that are just waiting to be glittered or layered over mirror cardstock, velvet paper or vellum.
