Happy Friday Friends! Today I got a little bit messy with my card but it's filled with love. Let's get started!
For my messy background I used three colors of the Distress Oxide Inks in different pinks. I started with my lightest color and pressed some ink into my non-stick craft mat and then sprayed it with some water. I took a piece of water color paper and then pressed it into the wet ink a few times. I used a heat tool to dry the first layer before adding more ink. I kept layering the different colors and drying them in between until I got a background that I liked. I was actually able to do two backgrounds at the same time with this technique.
I took some gold water color paint and added a few splatters to complete my messy background.
I die cut three of the Double Stitched Hearts in a bright pink paper. To make them sparkle I covered them with glitter using my clear Wink of Stella brush pen. To complete the card I placed a piece of gold stripe washi tape along the left side of my background and then glued it to a pink card. I used foam tape to glue the three hearts down and I added just a little more sparkle with some clear gems.
Have you made a messy background like this yet? It's so much fun!
