The Deep Edge Snow Bunny die set creates a sweet bunny and - with a bit of creativity - a friendly little puppy too! Hi everyone - Jean Okimoto here, on the last weekend of a very busy year. I love using Memory Box dies in unique ways - and this may be an extreme makeover - but I think he looks quite spiffy. Hope you agree!
Cut the head and midsection from kraft cardstock. Cut three paws from dark kraft cardstock - one will be his mouth.
Cut his arms from dark kraft cardstock - they'll be his back paws. Hind paws?
Cut two midsections from printed paper and fold them to form floppy ears. I've used this great print from Shizen Designs - Impress can order it for you. It's item #HP1172. Love how the lines converge and curve to add dimension.
Cut the body and the angled scarf section from printed paper. The scarf section will be a tail.
Cut the straight scarf section from red felt attached to adhesive label paper for stability. That's his collar!
Cut eyes and a nose from black cardstock. Cut the nose from pink cardstock for a tongue.
Assemble the bunny-turned-into-a-puppy. Use foam dots for the ears and head
Cut two layers of Stitched Curves from textured natural cardstock. Glue them together, then trim them with the long edge of the 4" x 5-¼" Rectangle Basics die. Borders a bit shorter than the card create neat edges that don't look bulky.
Stamp the greeting - from the Sentimental Iris Clear Stamps Set - on a 5-½" square card of textured natural cardstock with Lightning Black Brilliance. Dry the ink and attach the pup. Add a red glittered heart sticker and gold gem stickers.
Square and thick cards require extra postage - but I think this little guy and his kind message will brighten someone's day.

I like your puppy better than bunny! Do you just sit there and stare at the die to discover new ways to use them? You are amazing!

Thanks Juanita - he is very OTB - but it was fun designing him. Happy New Year to you and your family too!

Thanks Shelley - it's the reverse! I decide what to make - then work backwards to find the Memory Box/Open Studio/Poppystamps designs that will help me get there. Like reverse-engineering-for-dummies. Happy New Year - see you at Impress, will bring bunny-pup so you can see him in real life.

Jean, With no disrespect to the person who designed the Deep Edge Snow Bunny die set, I think it makes for a far cuter puppy than a bunny!! For sure some out of the box thinking going on on your part. So cute, and I do appreciate the detailed instructions you have given.
