Today's cards combine elements from two of the NEW dies: SNOWY TREE CIRCLE 99887 and CABIN CIRCLE 99884 . I've also used Memory Box papers that are available from Birch Press Design: Pool Gingham , Pool Snow, and Cranberry Snow. I used a large circle die from CIRCLE BASICS SET 30087 to cut out each of the other circles. The sentiment is from the MERRY CHRISTMAS SENTIMENTS CLEAR STAMPS SET CL 5212.
Card One:
steps to create this card
- Using white cardstock, place the Cabin Circle die inside a large circle die and run it through your die cutting machine. Save the white roof for this card and the other pieces for later.
- Cut a circle from the Cranberry Snow paper and adhere it behind the Cabin Circle.
- Make a little stack of red gingham paper, red cardstock, and woodgrain paper under the cabin part of the die and cut it out. Save the two cabins and the red door for this card and any other usable pieces for later.
- Take a small piece of yellowy gold cardstock and glue it behind the log cabin house to fill the windows. Trim extra paper off.
- Line up the red gingham house under the lit-windowed log cabin and adhere them together. Snip off the brown chimney to expose the "brick" one.
- Add the white roof and the red door.
- Glue the cabin into the notched place in the snow.
- Run the Snowy Tree Circle die four times through your machine, twice with white cardstock and twice with dark green cardstock. Snip off the trees. (You can save the rest of the Snowy Tree Circles for other projects--perhaps for use with polar bears or elves!)
- Glue the green trees on top of the white ones exposing some of the white along the tops of the boughs to look like snow. Then secure them to the scene.
- Cut another piece of Cranberry Snow paper slightly smaller than your white notecard and adhere it to the front. Add the completed Cabin Circle on top.
- Stamp the "merry Christmas" sentiment inside.
Card Two
Here's what's different:
- Start with a white notecard and cover the front completely with Pool Gingham paper.
- Die cut the Snowy Tree Circle from white cardstock nestled inside a slightly larger Circle Basics die. Cut it again from dark green cardstock, snip off the tree and put it on top of the white one.
- Cut a circle from the Pool Snow paper and adhere it behind the tree scene.
- Make the cabin using the Cabin Circle die with brown paper and a scrap of yellow behind it for window lights. Add a white roof and a door cut from the woodgrain paper. Place the cabin in the scene nestled in the snow to the right of the tree.
- Pop dot the Snowy Tree Circle onto the card front.
- Stamp the "merry Christmas" sentiment using Memento Rich Cocoa Ink.
I'm pretty sure that you can think of lots more ways to use these two dies alone and together. I'll use mine as Christmas cards. But I can imagine changing up the background paper and notecard colors for each season and for many occasions.
Happy Crafting!

Beautiful, inspiring cards Anne! The circles with the cabin and trees would make lovely ornaments and or gift tags, so many possibilities with these dies. My favourite is the first one, the cabin looks like a log cabin, the gingham paper for the chimney great idea. Thank you for sharing these inspiring, creative, beautiful cards today.
