Snowy Pine, Snowdrift Breeze snowflakes, Rectangle Basics and Slider Grooves team up to create a shimmery Christmas design that's also a giftcard holder.  Hello - Jean Okimoto here - sharing another card designed to get the most use from your Memory Box dies.

Giftcards are always appreciated - but slipping them into a card just doesn't seem special enough.  Slider Grooves will diecut a cool, curvey custom tuck-in slot for the perfect presentation.  Now isn't that better?

Cut pearlescent graphite cardstock to 6-1/4" x 11".  Score it at 4-5/8"  and 9-1/4" to create an inside pocket.  Diecut a Slider Groove slot near the left edge of the narrow bottom panel.  Fold it up and attach the sides to the card.  Attach a gluedot on a blank area on the back of  the giftcard to secure it.

Cut Snowy Pine from silver glitter cardstock.

Cut pear cardstock with the 2-1/4 x 3-1/2" Rectangle Basics die.

Cut a strip of red cardstock.

Cut Snowdrift Breeze from watercolor paper and remove the snowflakes.

Stamp the greeting - from the Open Studio Merry Christmas Sentiments Clear Stamp Set - on pear cardstock with Candied Apple Distress Oxides.  Dry the ink.  Trim it with the 1" x 2-1/4"Rectangle Basics die.

Assemble the card and add red gem stickers.

Everyone loves a giftcard  from their favorite store - receiving it in your special card makes it even better.  Of course you can use Slider Grooves to make slider cards too!

Big thanks to everyone from last weekend's ASIAN HOLIDAY GREETINGS  class at Impress! Hope you liked the simplicity of the designs and the beautiful silkscreened papers cut with Memory Box and Poppystamps dies.  Thanks too - Ann, Erin and Lauren - for filling our shopping baskets with the latest/greatest supplies.  I've added a second class to the schedule - it's on Sunday November 19th if you weren't able to attend the previous class.

If  Veterans Day is a holiday for you (or even if it isn't!) - join us for the MERRY AND QUICK class at Impress.  We're making 7 deceptively-simple cards that don't look quick and easy - but they will be!  No origami, I promise.

Thanks for stopping by...why not spend a few minutes making some giftcards for the holidays?  They'll  be ready when you need them in December.
