Ice Skates by Penny Ward
Hello, hello Memory Box friends. Penny here today with yet another 10 minute card. At this time of year we all need a method of making quick holiday cards and by changing up the papers, you can whip out several like the one above in no time. As designers for this wonderful company we are blessed with many dies to work with, but this has to be one of my all time favorites! It's just too cute!
Let's put this together:
Start with a White card base. Cut a one inch strip of your favorite plaid pattern papers and adhere to left side of card.
Die cut Classic Ice Skates from a matching plain cardstock. Color the "metal" portions of the skates with a Metallic Silver marker. For the laces, I used a white gel pen. Adhere to card front with foam adhesive.
Stamp sentiment and flourishes from the Blessed To Know You set using VersaFine Deep Lagoon ink.
Add a couple of dots of White Crystal Drops and let dry.
DONE!!!
Happy holiday card making,
Supplies
Just adorable Penny! Love the Classic Ice Skates die. So very sweet.

Clean, simple and fantastic, that is quite a feat! I LOVE the colors which are good for a masculine card if need be. You did a spectacular job. TFS. Happy Thanksgiving.

Penny, your skates card is simply beautiful. I thought the plaid paper was fabric, love the colours in it. The skates are exceptional. The detail on the laces, I thought when I first looked at it that you had maybe used embroidery thread, drawing the laces on is perfect! Colouring the skates from the colours in the plaid, love that blue. Using a marker for the skate blades, great idea! Thank you for sharing this beautiful, inspiring card today. I have a hard time doing simple cards.
