Hi everyone!
Today I have a Christmas card featuring a cute elf from the Playtime Elves clear stamp set along with his reindeer friend from the Dashing with Reindeer clear stamp set.
To create this card, I started by sponging Broken China Distress Oxide onto watercolor paper. I misted the ink lightly with water and dried with the heat tool, and spattered the background with white and black ink.
Next, I die cut the frame from white cardstock. The frame was cut using one of dies from the Scalloped Stitch Fancy Frame die set. The frame is rectangle shape, so I cut a piece off to form a square instead. This was glued to the card front at an angle.
I stamped the elf, the reindeer, and Christmas lights from watercolor paper and colored and cut them out. I glued a piece of twine from the elf to the reindeer and used foam adhesive to adhere them to the front of the card. I applied some texture paste underneath the sleigh and sprinkled it with glitter.
I stamped and embossed the sentiment on licorice cardstock and cut it out by following the curved line of the saying. Using foam adhesive, I glued this to the card.
To finish the card, I glued a piece of washi tape to a strip of white cardstock and adhered this to the back of the card front. Using foam tape, I adhered this to a Cranberry notecard.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a great week!
