Goldfish Collage, Wrapped Stitch Rectangles and Fish Tales by Jean Okimoto

The Goldfish Collage makes a great birthday card for your favorite guy - and he'll never guess how quick and easy it was! Hi - Jean Okimoto here with a simple summer design.

Cut the 2-3/4" x 4" Wrapped Stitch Rectangle from dark blue cardstock. The wonky stitches are hard to see here - but they add a bit of a frame and some texture. Cut it with Goldfish Collage. Save the fish for another project - we're using the negative portion on today's card.

Cut a piece of laminate using the 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" Rectangle Basics die. Attach it behind the Goldfish Collage - save the liner. Flip the diecut over to the front and use the slippery side of the liner to press the diecut firmly onto the laminate. Brush extra-fine light gold glitter onto the exposed adhesive in the fish cutouts. Tap off the excess glitter, then press the glittered fish with the liner to secure the glitter and smooth it out.

Cut a scrap of light gray cardstock with the 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" Rectangle Basics die. Attach it the laminate to keep the printed paper and card front from showing through. A backing layer of gray, white or black cardstock makes the glitter stand out and keeps any background patterns or colors from showing through.

Diecut a 2-3/4" x 4" piece of silkscreened paper. This crisp, beachy print is from Shizen Design.

Stamp the greeting - from the Fish Tales Clear Stamp Set - on white cardstock with Majestic Blue VersaFine. Dry the ink, then cut it with the 1-1/4" Circle Basics die.

Cut Dibble Dot Border from gold mirror cardstock - save the circles.

Attach the diecuts to dark kraft A-6 (4-5/8" x 6-1/4") card - use foam dots for the greeting.
