Greeting friends. If you have seen my style of cardmaking before, you know that I am a big fan of clean and simple cards for the holidays. Whenever I am making 20+ cards, I really like to think about how many layers I am adding and how long each card will take.
Each year I teach a quick and easy holiday card class where we create 10 different cards. The card above is one from this year's class. I will be teaching it again on Saturday, September 2nd in Herndon, VA, at Angela's Happy Stamper, so if you are in the area, I would love to see you!
To create this card, I embossed some cream cardstock with a floral embossing folder. After all, why limit your floral items to Spring/Summer? I then cut out the Decorative Poinsettia Trimming out of gold metallic paper. This poinsettia die cuts out both the flowers and the side strings as one individual piece. I also added a piece of red metallic paper behind it:
If you are going simple with the design, sometimes it is nice to add metallic paper to add a bit of pizazz to the card. To finish the design, I added a sentiment from the Blessed clear set with Crimson Red Versafine ink and added three gold rhinestones to the center of the poinsettia.

Laura, this is a gorgeous card and what a beautiful die. I love the versatility of it and that it could be used layered or even without the strings if you wanted. Simply gorgeous!
