Life is better Near the Ocean
by Jenny Griffiths

 Hello crafty friends,

Cuteness alert!  The following fun nautical scene is from the new Whale Hello There stamp and die sets and is loads of cuteness.  There are so many clever components...fish, waves, sea weed, and the coolest octopus ever.  You can make a variety of scenes and soooo many cards from just this one set.  Here's one I created today...

Life is better

I also used the Pinpoint Circle Frame die to create a sort of "porthole" effect and stamped the waves with Peacock Feathers blue ink on the front of the note card.  The "porthole" layer was added and raised up slightly to give a little dimension.  I stamped and die cut all the pieces, then colored with Copic markers.  I created enough to make several cards at once.  I took my time arranging (and rearranging) the fish scene and quickly realized I was simply enjoying playing with them instead of finishing the card-- Ahemmm.

Life is better-detail

I used a bit of pink Nuvo drops on the cheeks for a spot of color and Wink of Stella pen to add shine and sparkle to these cute denizens of the deep.  Oh and the clear air bubbles are crystal clear Nuvo drops too.   Along with the sentiment from the stamp set (which I love) is a collection of shells and a starfish from the Sea Bottom Treasures die set---a must- have for these nautical scenes.

With Summer upon us ocean theme cards are right on point and a welcome card to receive for any occasion.  We're having a heat wave here in San Diego and the ocean sure looks inviting.

Thanks for stopping by, please let me know if you like this new set--is it on your wish list or do you already have it?
