Hibiscus by Penny Ward
Hello and welcome to our Memory Box blog. Today I have created a card using brand new dies and pulled an older one out of my stash. We all have those older dies that just don't see much action, but I love to find ways to combine them with newer items.
My new favorite color is Coral, so be prepared for future creations in this color. :)
Let's make this:
Start with a White cardstock base trimmed 4.25 x 11 inches, then fold in half. On this panel, color the two long edges with Copic R35 marker. I eBrushed the area where the die cut will show through, but you could easily just color with a Copic R32 marker.
Cut White cardstock 4 x 5.50 inches. Die cut near the bottom left with Leafy Ring. Wrap card front with Sheer White ribbon and adhere in front with tape.
Die cut Hibiscus Flower and two leaves from the Spring Lilacs set. Color with Copics (R30, R32, R35, YG95, YG97) or use other medium.
Adhere flower and leaves on top of ribbon using foam adhesive. Add Clear sequins as desired around the card front.
Have I told you my new trick for using sequins?
Take a pinch of sequins, let them drop onto card front and glue where they land. It is quite fun and a great way to move those ever growing sparkly discs
out of their storage container. :)
Add a sentiment or leave blank as I have so when a certain occasion arises, I just need to add a small banner with a greeting.
Happy Crafting,
Supplies
So pretty and love how the sequins follow the flow of the circle , thanks for sharing.
