Greetings friends. Today we would like to introduce you to the new Memory Box May 2017 release. It has brand new dies as well as clear stamp sets with coordinating dies. We hope you will stop by often this week to see all the new goodies and for chances to win prizes.
For my card today, I used the new Seal of Approval clear stamp set. It has fun images such as seals, a turtle, a boat, anchors, and lots of coordinating "punny" sentiments. To make my card, I cut out and stamped my images using black Memento ink. I then colored the seal with an assortment of Warm Grey Copic Markers (W00, W1, W3, W5) as well as the R11 Copic marker for his cheek. I also die cut some waves from the die cut set and added a small notched ribbon I cut by hand to hang from the #1 seal that comes with the set.
To cut a window in my card, I used the new Pinpoint Circle Frame. It cuts a circle into your paper as well as add tiny little pinpoints around the circle for extra detail. Here is a close up of the circle frame:
As a final detail for the card, I embossed some white paper using the Dot Grid stencil. Did you know that you can run plastic stencils through your Big Shot (or Cuttlebug) to emboss paper to achieve similar results to embossing folder? You need a tan embossing mat to do it, but the results are amazing, and you get so much more use out of your stencils. I once did a video tutorial on how to emboss with stencils. You can view it on YouTube here- https://youtu.be/gpHEIf0hcJc
Would you like the chance to win the new Seal of Approval stamp set? Leave a comment to this post by Sunday, May 14th at 11:59pm EST. One comment will be chosen at random to win the stamps. Don't forget to check back during the week. Each designer post will have its own chance of winning a prize. Good luck!
What a fun card Laura ,and brought back memories for me too as my brother bought me a seal key ring when I got my first car he was only 10 but he said it was his seal of approval that he loved my car too,I think it was more that I could take him to his BMX races really but i kept the seal even after it became detached from the ring and stuck it on the dash of successive years until the sun made it go bald by perishing the covering. love your card and thanks for the memory .
