Awesome Lilacs by Penny Ward
Hello and welcome to the last day of our Memory Box Blog Blitz. So happy you have stopped by and I am hoping you have checked out all the new dies and stamps that are now available at you favorite retailer. This stamp set I am using today Spring Lilacs has soooo much to offer. Adorable flowers for Summer and Spring, pretty leaves to use now or in the Fall, and great sentiments to use year round.
Here is how I made this card:
Start with a white case card. I always make my base cards the same...cut white cardstock 4.25 x 11 inches, then fold in half.
Cut a white cardstock panel 4.25 x 5.50 inches. Ink this panel with Distress Oxide Iced Spruce and Cracked Pistachio...I know the color sounds awful together, but it really works. Now flick a little water across this panel and let dry. Adhere inked panel to card base.
Cut white cardstock 4 x 5.25 inches and die cut with Pinpoint Double Frame as shown. Use a scoring board to emboss a few lines along the left side of card, then adhere to card base.
Stamp and die cut the Spring Lilacs. Color with Spectrum Noir markers VB1, VB3 as well as AB1, AB3 and the leaves with YG1 and YG3.
Adhere to card front with foam adhesive.
Stamp and heat emboss the sentiment onto Vellum.
Add a bow to the flowers and drops of Glossy White Crystal Drops to flower centers. (white drops take on the color of the alcohol marker after they dry)

Gorgeous card. Your design is so beautiful and I love the colours. You know I really can't chose a favourite from this release. I love all the sea creatures and great punny sentiments, but I also love the sentiment dies and all the stitching and pinpoints dies are also fabulous. I just can't pick a favourite.

It's impossible to pick one favorite, but I'm always drawn to flower dies and stamps....since I'm pretty allergic to most flowers, this is my way of getting to enjoy them up close. LOL

Oh so pretty Penny! Love it ALL but I have to admit Lilacs are one of my fav. flowers because of their fragrance. I SO wished they lasted throughout the summer....

Great job! I haven't got any of the new oxide inks but I can't wait to try this when I do. My favourite items of this release are the double pinpoint frames and circles, they add just the right texture and interest without bulk!

Love your card, Penny and LOVE the lilac stamp. Unfortunately I have allergies so can't have the real flowers in my home but really, really do love them as they are so beautiful. Thanks for sharing and for the chance to win the stamp!

What a sweet little stamp set and beautiful card. My favorite die so far is the Pinpoint frame for a subtle bit of detailing!

What pretty card, I think that dotted die is neat it just adds that little something. And the lilacs makes me think Spring is finally here in Wisconsin.
