Hello and Welcome! Hope your week is off to a great start. It's "toes-in-the-sand" time so lets head down to the beach today...
I'm calling this card Sunset Beach but it could also be a sunrise, right? Either way I would love to be right there in this scene enjoying nature.
It's time for me to admit that I changed up the components of the main die a bit. You will see that these dies are very versatile and can take on several looks. On this card I snipped off the sun (moon?), and both dragonflies (see actual die photo below). Save them to use on the inside of the card.
I watercolored a separate card size panel with these distressed inks in a horizontal pattern: barn door, spiced marmalade, squeezed lemonade and tumbled glass. Half of the watercolored paper was adhered to the inside of the card to fit the long rectangle opening and the remaining half was used to die cut the shells, dragon flies and both circles for the sun (moon).
I really like the elegant shore birds so they "made the cover" and were tucked into the tall grass then the watercolored shells, setting sun and flying gulls were added to complete the relaxing scene.
A word about the kraft chipboard note cards...I love these new chipboard note cards! Seriously, you must give these a try. They are heavier than card stock (hence the term chipboard) and give the card weight and stability---by the way, the Memory Box dies cut the chipboard paper beautifully. Ahhh...
Now, since I snipped the dragonflies off the front of the card, they were available to add to the inside of the card. I added them along with a waterclored overlay, another moon and an inspiring sentiment--all adhered onto solid color card stock panel. A matching solid paper panel was added to the left side which "hides" the back of the watercolored panel facing the front cover.
These new sea life dies make me so happy---they feel like vacation time! Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed your "mini vacation" right here.

I love this dear. Sunset Beach is a beautiful, low-density condominum complex on the beautiful beaches.
