Studio Hexagon Layers Tags with Large Antilles Floral Left Corners
by Anne Thompson

I continued my experimenting this last week using the STUDIO HEXAGON LAYERS 30073 and the LARGE ANTILLES FLORAL LEFT CORNER 99610.  I decided to make some tags that also work for this month's blog challenge #23 Celebrating Mom.

I began with a stack of notecards in a variety of colors and the largest die in the Studio Hexagon Layers set.  I placed one edge of the die just a tiny bit above the fold line on the A2 notecard and ran it through my die cutting machine.

I then took the hexagon that was just a little bit smaller and cut it from a variety of plain cardstocks and printed papers.  I cut a few more hexagons using the next sized die from the set.  Then I layered up the hexagon papers onto the hexagon cards, some with just one layer and some with two.

I cut a bunch of the Large Antilles Floral Left Corner from various greens, blues, purples, and yellows.  I placed the green ones in the center of each card and cut the blooms from the others to add on top of the green blossoms.  I then added pearls or gems to the flower centers and as accents on the card front before tying on a ribbon.  Here's another look at the finished cards.  I really like how the tallest flower pops above the fold and the ribbon gives it a bit more stability.

I think this card is my favorite because I lined up the layers in kind of a wonky way.

Now I have tags or gift box enclosure cards for Mother's Day presents all done!  Just need to add a little note inside.

Happy Crafting!

Love your fabulous tags.

Thanks! They were so much fun to make that I know I'll be cutting more hexagon-shaped cards for future use. Anne

They are all beautiful , sweet flowers and love the shaped card!

Thanks for your comments! I recognize your name from past postings on the blog. We all appreciate feedback on the projects we share. Anne

What pretty tags love the variety of colours too and the flowers are the perfect size thanks for sharing.

Shaped cards and tags are so much fun and definitely out of the ordinary. So pretty what you created...BRAVO!!!

Thanks, Julye. Another thing I love about these tags is that I don't have a lot of waste and I can use the bits leftover from the corners to die cut blossoms. :-)

Hi, Jan D., FL--you are another frequent commenter I recognize! Thanks for your comments. I do love shaped cards and tags. Memory Box dies make it easy to create interesting shapes. Happy Crafting! A.
