Sprouting Vines & Butterfly Wings
by Sherry Hester

Happy Tuesday, everyone! I have a super simple Thank You card to share today.

Sprouting Vines & Butterfly - 1

I started off with a top folding A2 white card base. I cut another piece of white card stock to 5" x 3.75" and sponged Peeled Paint Distress Ink through the Garden Peony Blossoms stencil. That stencil is one of my favorites.

I cut three of the fifth largest frames from the Scallop Stitch Fancy Frames Set and adhered them one on top of the other. By the way, I think this frame set is a must have!  I cut two of the Sprouting Vines and adhered them to the top back of the frame, cutting off the excess at the top. I then adhered the adorned frame to the stenciled piece, offsetting it to the left just a bit.

I stamped the "Thank You" portion of the "Thank You Kindly" sentiment from the Watching the World Bloom clear stamp set. I always try to remember to stamp the sentiment before I add the mounting tape and adhere it. I don't know about you, but I've made the mistake of trying to stamp it afterwards, and it's not pretty!

I die cut the smallest butterfly from the Potenza Butterfly Trio using yellow card stock, and adhered it to the bottom right corner. To finish the card, I added some yellow pearls to the vines and here and there, and put one big one on the butterfly center. This was a very easy card to make. The sentiment could be changed to go with almost any occasion.

Have a wonderful week, and thanks for taking the time to visit!

This card is beautiful, Sherry! The green you chose for the background makes me think of spring green, when the leaves are just beginning to open. Spring is my favourite season. I really like the way you tucked the vine under the frame, it is the perfect element to the whole image of the card. The Scalloped Stitch Fancy Frames are going on my list, I need those. The Peony Blossoms Stencil is on my list, now that I have seen it used, I know I need it. That would be an excellent background for fairies, butterflies, dragonflies so many possibilities. Thank you for sharing this beautiful, inspiring card today.
