Hello, hello. Welcome to the last day of the March Blog Blitz.
Did you see the Inlay video Dave made using die cuts and glitter? If not check it out HERE.
After watching his video, I knew I had to try this technique, and wasn't it lucky I had everything I needed to create something like his. I will admit that I have had the Martha Stewart glitter in my stash for Y E A R S! I guess that stuff has a forever shelf life. :)
So here we go:0
I started with a Black card base, added a small strip of Lime cardstock down the side and ran it through my Gemini with an embossing folder.
I die cut the Dancing Dragonly Collage from Black cardstock, then lined the backside with double sided sticky paper. (Dave used a sheet of Scor-Tape, I used a sheet of Sticker paper...I will be buying Scor-Tape...just sayin').
Now the fun begins.....pour small amounts of glitter and rub around with your finger. Keep adding different colors until you are happy with the look.
I loved his tip for using a Swiffer cloth to remove the excess glitter...who knew?
Stamp and heat emboss sentiment from the So Many Things to Love set unto Vellum. Trim and adhere to card front.
It really is quite simple and gives your card a unique look.
So there you have it...a week full of new releases and inspiration to set your creative mojo into action.
If you enjoyed my card, please leave a comment as I am giving away the Dancing Dragonfly Collage today to one lucky person.
Comments close TODAY at midnight EST.
Happy Crafting,

I always love the versatility of using dragonflies in card making as they suit happy or sad/male or female equally well.
You've brought such style to this card, Penny. X

WoW!!! Your card is gorgeous! This is an excellent technique for the Dancing Dragonfly Collage. I have lots of Martha Stewart glitter in my stash and have started using it again, perfect for faeries, butterflies, and dragonflies. Dragonflies are one of my symbols. Very happy with the new dragonflies Memory Box has released. Thank you for the amazing creative inspiration today!
