I've been using the GIFT BASKET OVAL 99649 for days now and filling it with die cuts from the newest release. For today's card, I filled the basket with a variety of hearts from the CLASSIC STITCHED HEART COLLECTION 99637. This particular die cuts five separate stitched hearts in a variety of sizes. I got a bit carried away cutting hearts from papers in my pinks scrap bin!
I cut the GIFT BASKET OVAL 99649 from heavy white cardstock and a slightly larger pink glitter paper oval using one of the dies from the STITCHED OVAL LAYERS set of 8 dies no. 30069.
I got out a roll of Glue Dots and began assembling my hearts bouquet. I found it easiest if I put a Glue Dot on the front of each heart on the tip to adhere it to either the back of the basket or the back of another heart.
Once I had the basket filled, I assembled the card using double-sided tape to hold the pink glitter oval onto a light pink notecard. I used dimensional dots to attach the basket on top of the glittery oval and then added a small pink bow to the basket handle. I also added a few hearts spilled out of the basket.
To add some interest inside and to carry the design through, I added three hearts and stamped (in Hero Arts Raspberry Jam ink) the sentiment "sending love" from the SO MANY THINGS TO LOVE Clear Stamp Set CL5196. On the front of the envelope in the lower left corner I stamped (in Memento Tuxedo Black ink) the small heart with leaves and "thinking of you" from the same stamp set. I colored in the image with red and green Wink of Stella pens.
I love this valentine! And I know just who to send it to!
I hope you enjoyed last week's BlogBlitz as much as I did and that you got some ideas for your own projects. There are so many more items that we weren't able to feature, so I hope you'll keep watching the blog as we continue to show you ways to use the newest dies and stamp set. Thanks for all of your comments last week and congratulations to the winners!
Happy Crafting!
Oh Anne, this is so beautiful. How satisfying to use up scraps and make something so beautiful? (My fav. thing to do!) Too bad we didn't get to see everything featured but I'll be watching as I LOVE Memory Box dies. TFS!
