Florals to DIE for
by Penny Ward

HB-Jan-2017-blitz

Hello and welcome to the last day of the Memory Box Blog Blitz. Have you been loving all the new stamps and dies for the Spring crafting season?

If this is your first look at the Valentines, Spring and Easter ...then you must click HERE to start at the beginning of the 7 day Blitz.

Make sure to comment on each designers inspiration, as there are prizes to be won each and every day!

I must admit I am in love with all the new floral dies! What says Spring better than flowers?!?

HB-Jan-2017-blitz.2

Using a White card front, I embossed the Lavender Bunch into the paper, then die cut the Sketch Floral from Teal cardstock.

Happy Birthday Friendship Script was die cut from White cardstock three times, stacked and adhered together to give it some height.

Sheer Shimmer Sparkle was added to the words for some sparkly goodness.

HB-Jan-2017-blitz.3

To tie the flower into the card, I added a small strip of Teal cardstock at the bottom and wrapped a pretty ribbon over the seam.

I am kinda liking how the sentiment is laying over the ribbon just a bit.

Finish card with Crystal Drops, sequins or faux pearls.

Today I am giving away the Sketch Floral die to one lucky person that comments on this post.

All comments must be made by 11:59pm EST January 8th.  (That is TODAY)

Happy crafting,

Pennysignature

Beautiful card. Blue, green and lots of white - such a fresh colour combination. I'm loving the sketch floral die.

Beautiful design and love the colors and how the ribbon is such a perfect addition!!

I really like how you have used the sketch die over the embossed lavender. Great card.

Gorjuss. I love white on white.

This pretty card has made me a fan of Sketch Floral !

Another lovely card and another beautiful die, I have sketch daisy and love that so this is just as beautiful as is your card, thanks for sharing.

I love your card! The embossed bit behind the die cut is a lovely combination.

Great card! The new Sketch Floral die definitely makes me think of spring on this cold and snowy day in No. Indiana. Thanks for sharing your card idea with us.

Pretty card! I like how you embossed the lavender die for background texture.

Very pretty card, Penny! Love the sketch floral die. Thanks for the chance to win it.

Love this card and I so want the floral sketch die. I have been eyeballing it for days.

Love this card and all the cards you make. Thanks for the chance to win rhe floral sketch die.

Such a pretty card, love it!

Oh my Penny, this is so PRETTY!
I always hate to see the last day of the Blitz. I love Memory Box dies SO much and cannot get enough :( Every time I am in a craft store I head right to the Memory Box section, its always the first thing I look at. (I have even been known to jokingly ask the sales clerk if they had a chair for people like me who looks at EVERY- SINGLE-ONE-OF-THEM!!! LOL)
Happy New Year to you all and thanks for the chance to win!

Pretty card! I love the embossed lavender design and that lovely Sketch Floral die! Pretty color combo! Love that ribbon too!

so lovely card!

I really like how Penny embossed the lavender bunch, such a pretty effect! This is a gorgeous card! So sorry to see the Blog Blitz end - I really enjoyed seeing all of the new products and adding to my wish list! Thanks for all the generous giveaways! I would love to win!

Lovely card! Love the colors & the ribbon!

Such a cute die, must have it! Adorable card, love the emboss and the die together it's make it look so unique!

I LOVE this Floral Sketch die. The embossing seems to make the flower stand out more; and I love the
contrast at the bottom.

Gorgeous card. Love how you embossed the lavender die onto the cardstock and then placed the floral sketch die on top of it. Love the new dies and beautiful inspiration.

Very pretty. I like the embossed lavender.

That is such a cute card!

wow, love this !

I absolutely love this embossing technique. I'm teaching this technique to classes in our stamp store using Memory Box dies from the past. This flower would be a good one to use for it's simplicity. I find the look to be interesting and adds a bit of mystery to the card. Your treatment with a different die in the background is an interesting take on this. I've always used the same die for the embossing and the top flower. . . opens more opportunities and gives me more ideas to share. Thank you!
