Hi everyone! Sherry here to share a card using dies from the new Memory Box Valentine release. Wow! There are so many beautiful designs to choose from!
One of the things I like to do with new dies is to cut each of them from inexpensive white card stock so that I can play and arrange and decide on a layout. I really like the font style of "sending love" from the Sending Love Heart, so after die cutting the image from rose card stock, I snipped out the words from the opening. The die itself cuts a window, as you can see in the card Laura shared earlier this week. Love it!!
I then die cut the Peyton Heart and one of the hearts from the Classic Heart Collection from the same rose card stock. I just happened to notice that the design in the Peyton Heart die is almost exactly the same as the design in the Arpeggio Snowflake. Woo hoo! I die cut the snowflake from ivory card stock, then snipped off one of the points and adhered it behind the center of the solid heart, which I thought nicely tied the two hearts together.
I die cut one of the squares from the Stitched Square Layers set, and used an embossing folder to create the background. I adhered the square to the card base with mounting tape. I also used mounting tape to adhere the solid heart. I arranged the Peyton Heart as shown, and added the sentiment. I thought it needed a little glam and luckily had some heart gems in my stash. I added the larger ones to the hearts and scattered the smaller ones on the card front. There is no inking, stamping, or sponging on this card, making it a super quick, no muss-no fuss kind of card!
Thank you for stopping by, and have a safe and very happy New Year!
Beautiful!
